Planes de salud que aceptamos: A Note About Paying for Your Care… Before you come to the clinic, you'll need to know costs, how to pay and your insurance coverage, if any. Our costs without insurance are listed on the “List of Services” page and the “Medications” page of our website. If you do not have insurance, you may pay with cash or a debit/credit card. Working with health insurance companies and understanding your policy can be challenging. Many insurance plans pay, partially or in full, for clinical visits, treatments, equipment/devices and medications. However, you are responsible to contact your insurer to learn about your coverage, and you are responsible to pay for any costs that insurance does not pay. Daily Apple Clinic will bill your insurance as a courtesy, but we can never guarantee insurance coverage. We don't want you to be surprised if you think they will pay for any care you receive or any provider you choose. They may not. If you plan to use insurance, you must call your health insurance company, or your prescription plan, using the number on your card, to ask: Whether and what your insurance will pay Whether insurance will pay for costs at Daily Apple Clinic What costs you will be responsible to pay The consent form that you will sign with us will state that you understand you may be asked to personally pay any fees not covered by your insurance. If you cannot or will not sign that consent form, you cannot receive treatment with us and will need to consider other healthcare options. In terms of cost transparency: Most modern clinics pay between 4% and 12% of gross collections in order to purchase and upgrade healthcare management technology, access and use the required software and tools, acc ess the insurance clearinghouses and pay staff and billing companies in order to process and manage insurance claims. It's not cheap. Of course, w e work hard and do expect fair and reasonable compensation for that work. We do our best to earn your trust every day and provide you excellent value, but, i n the end, i f our bills aren't paid, we can't continue to provide care . Thanks for being proactive and taking care of these important details. It lets us focus on providing you the best possible care and helps us maintain great relationships with our patients.

Per the CDC: Arthritis is a general term for conditions that affect the joints or tissues around the joint. There are more than 100 types of arthritis. Most types of arthritis cause pain and stiffness in and around the affected joint or joints. Some types of arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis, can also affect the immune system and internal organs of the body. The joints of the knee, shoulder, hip, back, hand, wrist and foot are most commonly affected. The most common form of arthritis is called osteoarthritis. Other common types include: rheumatoid arthritis, gout and fibromyalgia. What are the symptoms of arthritis? Symptoms vary depending on the type of arthritis you may have. Common symptoms you may experience with arthritis include: Joint pain Stiffness Swelling Decreased range of motion Reduced mobility Redness Warmth Joint disfigurement Symptoms can develop suddenly or gradually and may occur intermittently or persist for many years. What are the risk factors for arthritis? Many risk factors for arthritis may be under your control and others may not. Arthritis risk increases with age and most types of arthritis are more common in women. Certain genes you are born with may also make you more likely to develop arthritis or allow it to become worse. However, many risk factors are "modifiable" and, by making lifestyle changes, you can decrease your risk of having or worsening your arthritis. You can maintain a healthy weight by eating healthy foods and increasing physical activity. See your doctor right away if you think you may have an infection in a joint or if you have injured a joint due to recent trauma or repetitive stress. Avoid occupations with excessive bending and squatting and with hazards that may make you prone to injury. Importantly, you can stop smoking and never restart. How does my doctor diagnose arthritis? Arthritis is usually diagnosed clinically during an interview with a patient and by conducting a careful physical exam of painful areas. Swollen, red, stiff and painful joints may be arthritic. Your provider at Daily Apple Clinic will review your symptoms and medical history and carefully evaluate your joints and range of motion in order to create a treatment plan that will work best for you. They may recommend urine tests, blood tests, joint fluid testing, X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, or ultrasounds, if needed. What does arthritis care consist of? Common arthritis treatments include: Home remedies: Home treatments that can reduce arthritis pain include regular exercise, heat packs, cold packs, shoe inserts, and braces or canes. Medications: Medications such as NSAIDs help reduce joint pain and arthritis disease progression. Injections: Joint injections can lubricate your joints, reduce inflammation, enhance healing, and alleviate arthritis pain. Physical therapy: R egular physical activity and therapy can help relieve arthritis pain and stiffness, increase your energy levels and improve your mood to help you feel more positive. Surgery: Surgery can remove, repair, or replace damaged joint tissues. Your Daily Apple Clinic provider can refer you to a specialist if you’re a candidate for joint surgery. Properly managing arthritis can help you decrease pain, improve overall function and keep you productive. • Primary Care | Daily Apple Clinic

Primary Care Daily Apple Clinic Adult Care, Primary Care, & Family Nurse Practitioners located in Congress Park, Denver, CO One of the best ways to maintain your health and reduce the risk of illness and disease is to see a primary care provider on a regular basis. A primary care provider is essential in helping you maintain good health, prevent disease by identifying risk factors, and manage chronic disease in order to increase longevity and improve your quality of life. Daily Apple Clinic is located in Congress Park in Denver, Colorado. Paul Reynolds, FNP and Monica Schonteich, FNP and all of the skilled providers there are ready and able to care for your needs. Our clinic generally specializes in primary care services for adults and kids ages 12 and older. Please call the office to schedule an appointment or book one online today. Call Us: 720-593-8989 Primary Care Q & A What is Primary Care? Primary care is healthcare at a general rather than specialized level, often for people making an initial approach to a doctor or nurse for treatment. It is a branch of medicine focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of common chronic (ongoing) and acute conditions. Why might I need primary care? Primary care providers manage day-to-day health needs. Establishing a long-term relationship with a primary care provider (PCP) keeps you healthier and lowers medical costs. A PCP can teach you ways to stay healthy, treat you when you're sick and help you get more advanced care when you need it. You might need primary care if you’re at risk of, or currently need help with, some of the following conditions: High blood pressure High cholesterol Diabetes Heart disease Thyroid disorders Asthma or allergies Injuries Illnesses Arthritis Obesity Chronic pain Erectile dysfunction (ED) Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) Skin problems such as warts, moles, rashes, or skin tags In addition to primary care, Daily Apple Clinic offers a comprehensive list of specialized services and procedures. These might include dermatology services (cryogenic treatment, wart and skin tag removal, mole excision, biopsies, Botox, etc.), laceration repair with sutures or glue, wound care, urgent care needs, women's health procedures and testing, assistance with mental health and referrals to other specialists as needed. We provide vaccinations, medications, prescriptions, and more. What happens during primary care visits? When you arrive at Daily Apple Clinic for primary care appointments, you will be greeted by compassionate staff members who listen and are interested in how they can best take care of you. When testing is necessary, Daily Apple Clinic offers on-site, point-of-care testing which provide immediate results and so we can offer symptom relief as quickly as possible. Examples include: pregnancy tests, strep throat testing, mononucleosis testing, influenza testing, fecal occult blood tests, COVID testing, urinalysis, drug screening, spirometry, etc. Daily Apple Clinic also partners with both Quest and LabCorp. Those lab facilities are nearby, and there’s a pharmacy across the street for added convenience. The clinic also partners with many nearby hospitals and facilities for imaging and referrals. We offer many in-office procedures as noted above and fill medications via e-prescription. A clinical evaluation may include the following: Vital signs check: Your provider assesses your weight, body mass index (BMI), pulse, blood pressure, and temperature during the vital signs check portion of your appointment. Medical history review and physical: Your provider reviews your symptoms and medical history and completes a physical examination to assess your throat, breathing, heartbeat, abdomen, skin, reflexes, etc. In addition, your provider may perform breast and pelvic exams or a Pap test to screen for signs of cervical cancer in women or conduct a prostate exam for men. Diagnosing testing: If you have an illness, disease risk factors or show signs of a medical problem, your Daily Apple Clinic provider may recommend diagnostic testing. Examples include nasal or throat swabs, STD testing, blood tests, urine tests, asthma or allergy tests, pregnancy testing, X-rays, ultrasounds, or other imaging procedures. Treatment: Primary care treatments typically include lifestyle changes (weight loss, healthy eating, regular exercise, etc.) but may also include home remedies, dermatology treatments, medications, injections, or injury care. Your provider may refer you for further diagnostic testing or specialty care for complex medical problems. When should I schedule primary care appointments? Of course, every individual is different, so the following guidelines are not set in stone. In general for both men and women, if you are in basically good health and under the age of 50, it is recommended you see your PCP every three years for a checkup. After age 50, see your doctor once a year. Then, visit us as needed for acute illnesses, chronic health issues or follow-up visits. You are usually able to book a same-day appointment if you or your family and friends experience new or unusual symptoms or have concerns about your health and wellness. To schedule a primary care appointment with the Daily Apple Clinic, please call the office or book a consultation online today.
